ARISS guarda oltre la ISS!

Nel corso della Hamvention 2026 a Dayton, svoltasi sabato 16 maggio, durante la presentazione “ARISS: Celebrating 25 Years on ISS and Pioneering New Spaceflight Opportunities for Hams and Youth”, ARISS ha annunciato la nascita di AREx (Amateur Radio Exploration), un consorzio congiunto tra AMSAT e ARISS. L’iniziativa, sviluppata in collaborazione con la NASA, potrebbe aprire la strada a una futura presenza radioamatoriale sulla Luna nell’ambito delle prossime missioni lunari. Sebbene in questa fase nulla sia ancora stato definito, ARISS ha ipotizzato quale configurazione radio potrebbe permettere ai radioamatori di effettuare comunicazioni attraverso la Luna:Un progetto intitolato CAVIAR: Communications, Audio, Video e imaging utilizzando Amateur RadioTelecamere per la terra, la luna e l'imaging del veicolo, Voce, digitale e video supportati Collegamenti 10 GHz e 5 GHz supportati dalla rete di stazioni di terra Scalabile: cambiare potenza di uscita e fornitura per il profilo di missione Tenete d'occhio il sito web ARISS [...]

Elvira Simoncini entra nella DX Hall of Fame: un riconoscimento storico. A Dayton le è stato conferito uno dei più prestigiosi riconoscimenti del mondo radioamatoriale: l’ingresso nella DX Hall of Fame, considerata da molti il vero e proprio “Premio Nobel” dei DXer. L’International DX Convention l’ha scelta tra numerosi candidati provenienti da tutto il mondo, premiando il suo eccezionale contributo alla comunità DX internazionale. Il riconoscimento valorizza in particolare le sue tante DXpedition, affrontate per la maggior parte in solitaria, con grande competenza, determinazione e spirito di avventura. Solo due donne al mondo fanno parte della DX Hall of Fame, ed Elvira è la prima ad aver ottenuto questo onore esclusivamente per la sua intensa attività operativa DX.
